This is a beautiful palace situated at Mattancherry. The palace was built by the Portuguese in 1555 and was gifted to the ruler of Cochin Vira Kerala Varma. This palace is famous for the beautiful decorations, wooden ceilings and preserved artefacts of yesteryears. The mural paintings done on the wall of the palace is the most striking attraction. These paintings depict the scenes from the Hindu epic Ramayana.
 
Chinese Fishing Net
This fishing net is a popular tourist attraction of this place because of its photogenic look. It was introduced by the Chinese explorer Zheng He in the year 1350.
